Product Distribution
Around 30-40 million medical diagnostic imaging techniques using technetium-99m (99mTc) and other radiopharmaceuticals are performed worldwide every year. Disruptions in the supply chain of these medical isotopes – which have a very short half-life can lead to cancellations or delays in important medical testing services.
Eldan Molecular Imaging is therefore looking beyond the common practice to provide a better and more reliable service in its distribution of radiopharmaceuticals.
Production and Release
The radiopharmaceutical products are manufactured on Saturday evening, tested, and packed. The products are manufactured by Isorad which holds the required approvals.
Transfer of Product from the manufacturing facility to the Airport
On Sunday early morning, the products are transferred to Tel-Aviv Ben Gurion airport, a 30min drive from the manufacturing facility.
Shipment
The products are shipped from the Tel-Aviv Ben Gurion airport, which shares many connections to major European and middle eastern transportation hubs.
Products arrival and patients’ doses preparation
The products arrive at the local distributor/radiopharmacy or hospitals where patients’ doses are prepared.
